Road Accident In Compostella Town, Cebu Left With Four Dead
COMPOSTELA TOWN – Four people have been dead while several more were wounded in a road accident in Compostela town, Cebu.
According to Inquirer’s Cebu Daily News, the incident occurred at around 2 AM on Sitio Ipil-ipil, Barangay Estaca.
Responding officer Police Corporal Roland Lebron Alo of the local police said that they are currently confirming the number of passengers who were in two vehicles, identified as a passenger van and a bus.
Initial reports show that the passenger van was supposed to head south while the bus was heading north when the collision happened.
As of this writing, some of the injured passengers are being treated at the Danao Provincial Hospital.
Based on the report, the local police have yet to identify the dead and the names of the wounded as of press time.
In another news in the Visayas, a truck, which contained officers from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) fell into a ravine in Barangay Ginomoy, Alimodian, Iloilo on February 29 afternoon.
The accident has left with 4 cops dead and 20 more injured. The Battalion Commander was relieved from his post due to the mishap.
