Claudine Barretto was asked what went wrong between her and Raymart Santiago
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto openly admitted that she was not a good wife to her estranged husband, actor Raymart Santiago, and that she was also at fault for the reason that their marriage ended.
Claudine and Raymart’s separation was quite controversial. Issues surfaced between them, and accusations were thrown from both sides.
In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of comedienne Dang Cruz, based on the article in Abante, Claudine was asked about her past with Raymart.
“What went wrong sa inyo ni Raymart?” the comedienne asked the Optimum Star. Claudine Barretto got honest about this. “Um, alam mo hindi rin ako naging mabuting asawa, ha. Hindi rin naman talaga lahat kasalanan ni Raymart,” the actress admitted.
She also said that she was not submissive to Raymart and that she did not love her estranged husband the way she loved her ex-boyfriend, the late actor Rico Yan.
“Yes, doon aminado ako. ‘Pag mali ako, mali naman talaga ako. Inaamin ko ‘yon,” she said, adding that she was just 50 percent submissive to Raymart.

Claudine Barretto also said that, to be fair, Raymart turned out to be a decent husband, and she is praying that things will be patched up between them as parents to their children.
“You know, he was really also good naman sa akin. ’Yung medyo end na lang talaga nagkaproblema. But you know Raymart talaga, even up to now ang prayer ko lang talaga is that maging okey na kami,” she said.
The Optimum Star also said that they were okay and their co-parenting setup was good at the beginning. She also said that she wanted Raymart to be happy.
“Yes, yes. But siguro more than me mas gusto ko sana maging masaya na talaga si Raymart, kasi I think I owe him that,” she said, adding that she is also happy that their kids can talk to their father.
