PAGASA – Amihan To Affect North Luzon (March 12)

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this March 12, 2020.

The bureau’s latest weather update states that the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect northern Luzon on this day.

According to GMA News, amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Cagayan including the Babuyan Group of Islands.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the country, will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur, especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, the northern part of northern Luzon will have strong winds moving in the northeast direction with rough coastal waters.

The rest of northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving eastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have slight to moderate winds moving in the east to northeast direction with moderate coastal waters.
