Laurenti Dyogi defended ABS-CBN over franchise renewal issue
Direk Laurenti Dyogi defended ABS-CBN over the franchise renewal issue through his point-by-point response to allegations against the media company.
Several stars and people from other departments of the Kapamilya network already expressed support for the company amid this issue. Dyogi, as the TV Production head of the network, expressed his sentiments on his recent Facebook post.
The director of Pinoy Big Brother admitted that the media company is not perfect. “Di perpekto ang ABSCBN bilang isang kumpanya pero sa loob ng mahabang panahon pilit namin pinagbubuti ang aming serbisyo sa pagbibigay ng mga programa at balita, at sa pagtulong sa kapwa,” he wrote.
He added that although not all the viewers are supporting the network but it has been giving joy and extended help to many over the years. The director also said that instead of organizing rally to air their grievances, they are more focused on providing contents for their shows.
Dyogi also stressed out that the issues being thrown to the company are easy to be resolved if only people would hear their side open-mindedly. On the issue that ABS-CBN is not paying tax, Laurenti Dyogi answered, “Bawat isang empleyado namin ay nagbabayad ng tamang buwis dahil ang kumpanya mismo namin ay nagbabayad ng tamang buwis.”
He also answered the issue that the company is owned by foreign entities. “Sana alamin ng mabuti ang detalye ng PDRs (Philippine Depository Receipts) bago manghusga dahil dumaan ito sa tamang proseso at aprobado ng SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission),” he added.
Dyogi said that it saddens him that the nation is being divided amid these trying times. However, he is grateful for those who have shown support for ABS-CBN. “Sa mga pagkakataong ito nararamdaman kong mas tumatapang at mas nagiging buo ang aming pamilya,” he said in his post.
