Marcelito Pomoy’s Wife Joan Shares AGT: The Champions Journey
MARCELITO POMOY – ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ grand winner Marcelito Pomoy and his wife Joan Pomoy recalled their experience at “AGT: The Champions.”
Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy is known for his very unique voice. He can sing in a male and female voice. He was the champion of ABS-CBN’s talent show ‘Pilipinas Got Talent.’
Last year, the artist took to social media to announce that he will be joining ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions.‘ He asked his countrymen to support him in his journey.
Marcelito Pomoy slay the international stage. The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judges and the studio audience were in awe after his performance. He sang the parts performed by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion in a rendition of “The “Prayer.”
In a previous article, Kapamilya singer Gary Valenciano reacted to the Marcelito’s performance on the show. He said his performance made him emotional.
Marcelito Pomoy’s performance garnered millions of views on AGT’s Youtube channel. He and his wife Joan Pomoy visited the morning show “Magandang Buhay” on Tuesday, January 28. His Joan recalled her husband’s experience in the competition. She said both of them didn’t expect that the judges and the audience would give him a standing ovation.
Joan Pomoy shared that they are only given two days to prepare for Marcelito’s performance. “Ang isa pa kasing threat dung yung kanta nya kasi ang ginawa nila is cut version, since lagi nyang kinakanta yung ‘The Prayer’ ng buo, doon sa rehearsal dalawang beses syang nagkamali talaga kasi nabubuo nya yung kanta,” she said
“Hindi naming na expect na ganun yung magiging impact sa crowd. Ngayon nung Nakita ko yung crowd na tumayo talagang doon na ako iyak ng iyak kasi hindi ko talaga inexpect na magugustohan nila.”
