Ang plano ko as vice mayor ay ako ay humihingi ng kuwan kay Presidente Duterte na kung maaari ‘yung opinyon ng Phivolcs ay medyo baguhin kasi masyado niyang pinalala ang sitwasyon ng balita,

According to the Vice-Mayor, Solidum’s warning was alone with his “opinion”. He stated that the entirety of Batangas is affected by his warnings and that he should study it well.

As per the article, Natanauan cited his father’s experience during Taal Volcano’s eruption in 1965. He stated that many were killed because they lacked motorized boats near the island.

The Vice-Mayor assured the public that even if an eruption occurs, the lava would stop once it hits the water because it would get wet.

In addition, Natauan expressed doubts about Solidum’s statement saying that Phivolcs was unable to predict Taal’s eruption last January 12.

Wala pang nakapag predict sa buong mundo kahit scientist sa pagputok ng bulkan

Bakit naman nasabi niya, siya ba ay Diyos?

Meanwhile, areas near Taal Volcano still experience earthquakes due to rising magma. Taal Volcano had also spewed sulfur dioxide emissions that remains at 4,353 tons per day.

  1. People should be allowed to return home to rescue their animals & pets and get whatever they need. They should be asked to sign a waiver so that in case the volcano erupts, the government is not liable. Poor animals left nothing to eat, they die of starvation not due to volcano eruption. Phivolcs think think and reconsider that plea of local residents to go back home
