Huge Sacrifices Jane De Leon Made For ‘Darna’
JANE DE LEON – ABS-CBN actress Jane De Leon revealed she made huge sacrifices to portray the role of “Darna.”
Kapamilya actress Jane De Leon was picked to play the role of the Filipino superhero ‘Darna’ created by Mars Ravelo. She beat more than 300 auditionees for the coveted role.
In a previous article, the 21-year-old celebrity recently shared a glimpse of her physical training for the much-awaited remake of the superhero movie. Previously, she thanked all the people who supported her and promised to prove she’s worthy of the role.
Based on a report from PUSH, Jane De Leon said she made huge sacrifices for the Darna role. She admitted that she’s struggling emotionally because she doesn’t want to disappoint the fans of the Pinay superhero.
“Emotionally po sobrang hirap. Siguro yung mga ibang tao sinasabi nila, ‘Ang suwerte naman niyan naging Darna siya, suwerte naman ng batang ito,’ pero sobrang grabe yung kailangan mong ibuhos sa dedikasyon para dito at ang dami ko ng sinakripisyo para sa proyektong ito,” she said.
According to the report, Jane said she strived really hard for it and revealed she now has lesser time for her family and for her self. She admitted that she sometimes cried due to the challenging role but that didn’t turn her down. The struggles she had in the past helped her motivate and overcome the challenge.
“Yung oras po is number one — yung oras ko sa family ko, oras ko sa sarili ko and lahat yon binuhos ko sa pagte-training ko. Minsan umiiyak na ako kasi sobrang hirap po talaga,” she said.
Based on the report, Jane said she has been dreaming to portray Darna. She said she has been waiting for a big break in the showbiz industry.
