Magnitude 4.1 Earthquake Rocks Tulunan, Cotabato (November 9, 2019)
BREAKING NEWS – A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck the town of Tulunan in the province of Cotabato.
On Saturday (November 9, 2019), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that a magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook the province of Cotabato at 08:07 am.
The earthquake’s epicenter has been located at 06.75°N, 125.00°E – 022 km S 59° E of Tulunan, Cotabato. The slightly strong tremor is tectonic in origin and has a depth of focus of 012 kilometers.

However, the state seismology agency said that there are no aftershocks and further damage are expected following the incident.
Over the past few weeks, the province of Cotabato and its nearby provinces along the region of Mindanao have been repeatedly struck by a series of powerful temblors. The major earthquakes damaged buildings and houses in the quake-affected areas.
The disastrous calamity also injured hundreds of people in the quake-stricken areas and even killed some of the residents.
