Security guards are personnel hired by the government or private companies to protect people, properties, and valuables as instructed by their employer. They are also authorized to use their power under their area of jurisdiction.
Most of them are enduring the hardships of working for several hours and even putting their life at risk just to perform their tasks properly. Guards must also perform their duties and responsibilities with respect and concern towards others.
Recently, the Facebook page “Mahilig Mag Like at Share” has shared the photos of an honest security guard who returned $10,000 or over P500,000 including a laptop, and other important documents to the OFW owner.
The honest guard found the lost money, laptop, and documents at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The loyal employee returned the items to its respective own who is working as an engineer abroad. The OFW owner gave him a reward money of $300 or P15,000 for his honesty.
The poor guard frequently skips lunch due to poverty and usually borrows P100 to his co-workers just to buy food for lunch. However, his situation did not stop him to prove that the faith in humanity is restored.
