Yellow Markers or ‘Kilometer Marker’ Real Meaning
Here is the real meaning of yellow markers that can be found along the streets which serve as a guide and mark for travelers.
Most people usually ignore road signs and just simply passed by thinking that they are placed just for nothing.
However, road signs play a very important role when facing difficult situations along the road especially when we got lost.
Many motorists and drivers can see ‘Yellow Markers’ beside the roads that have something important to remind us.
The Yellow Marker contains letters and numbers, which stands for the number of kilometers and center of the area’s commerce.
Most of us rely on our mobile phone’s Global Positioning System or GPS and ignore those yellow signs.
For example, the kilometer marker in Luzon that indicates KM 340 means that travelers are 340 kilometers away from Luneta Park or ‘kilometer zero’ because it is the center of Manila.
In the province, if you saw C6, it indicates that you are six (6) kilometers away from a town starting with Letter ‘C’.
If you keep going, you will saw another kilometer marker, which number is reduced by one from the previous marker.
