According to the latest rankings posted by Sleeping in Airports website, the Philippines’ NAIA 1 Terminal ranked as the world’s worst airport of the year 2012.
The website was quoted describing the airports as “With its collapsing ceilings, overcrowding, rampant bribery, and taxi drivers scamming travellers on fares, its easy to understand why ‘disappointed’ and ‘unbelievable’ are just a few of the words travellers use to describe Manila’s Terminal 1,” the website stated.
On Monday October 15, 2012, the final results of its 16th annual Best and Worst Airports, this is the same website who named the NAIA 1 as worst airport during the year 2011.
Although the website acknowledged the Philippine government efforts to improved the working condition of NAIA 1 facilities but the results of the survey was contrary as travelers have yet to see any improvements.
Meanwhile here are the lists of World’s Worst Airports:
The website named Singapore’s Changi Airport as the best airport in the world, followed by Seoul and Hong Kong.
