Meralco Electricity Rate Set To Go Lower in June 2019
MERALCO ELECTRICITY RATE – The Manila Electric Company announced that the electricity rate will decrease in June 2019.
One of the major expenses of most households every month is the electricity consumption or the power consumption. Undeniably, nowadays, most activities at home involves it.
In fact, the electricity is also one of the major factors in schools, offices, hospitals, and other establishments. The payment for its use is also due monthly.
Undeniably, a rise on the electricity rate poses an extra challenge for the consumers while a decrease will surely delight anyone.
Recently, a good news for the consumers of the Manila Electric Company crossed the surface.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Meralco electricity rate will decrease in June 2019 as announced by the power provider.
The good news for the consumers came amid Luzon experiencing yellow and red alerts on power status since May.
The yellow alert is declared when the reserve power of the grid is already below the required level while the red alert means that the demand may exceed the available general capacity.
Based on the report, there will be a Php 0.19 deduction per kilowatt hour in the electricity rate this June 2019 and a Php 0.135/kWh cut from the generation charge.
If a household consumes 200 kWh of power supply every month, around Php 38.00 would be deducted from the bill in June.
