Police Arrests Alleged “LTO Fixer” in Quezon City
LTO FIXER – An alleged fixer of the Land Transportation Office’s transactions was arrested by police in Quezon City.
A fixer or a person who accepts payment to make arrangements for the transactions of other individuals in a ill process is not allowed in any agency.
The government agencies are strongly encouraging the public not to have their transactions done through a fixer.
Usually, these people promises faster processing which is appealing to those who are in a rush but it is against the law.
Recently, an alleged fixer of the transactions in the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Based on a report in ABS-CBN News, a female alleged “LTO fixer” was arrested by the police authorities in Quezon City,
The woman was identified as Lita Galera by National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Police Major Gen. Guillermo Eleazar. The 43-year-old woman was arrested with a warrant for estafa case.
According to the report, a certain “Ina” complained that she contacted Galera in September 2009 for the fast processing of her taxi’s franchise. However, the latter was allegedly not able to give the document but she took the money.
Lita Galera was arrested in Barangay Pinyahan and is currently in the custody of the NCRPO-RSOU. According to the police, they await the order of the court that released a warrant against her.
