Maine Mendoza has this political stand regarding election endorsement
Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza revealed her political stand in endorsing a politician this 2019 midterm election.
It is inevitable that the world of politics crosses over to the world of showbiz and vice versa.
There are also quite a few showbiz personalities who are vocal about their support to a certain politician.
Maine, as one of the most popular stars in her generation, was also asked to endorse a politician.
Her manager Rams David confirmed this. “Actually, since 2018, may mga kumausap na, may mga nagtatanong na. Politely naman, nag-beg off tayo,” he shared.
Rams also said that during the past elections, Maine also refused to endorse any politician.
“Ever since naman, I think, this is not the first time na nag-showbiz siya na nagka-election. Before that, wala rin naman tayong ikinampanya,” the talent manager said.
For him, it is a good thing that his talent has no political affiliation because it shows fairness.
The talent manager of Maine Mendoza added, “Feeling ko naman kasi, ang politician doesn’t need someone na magtataas ng kamay mo. Kung maganda ang hangarin mo as politician, hindi mo kailangan ng superstar para iboto ka ng tao. Ibigay mo lang ang tamang plataporma mo at maganda ang hangarin mo, mananalo ka.”
It was also said that in the hometown of the Phenomenal Star in Bulacan, several politicians asked for her endorsement.
However, the Triple A Management handling Maine, as well as her family, never said yes to offer from politicians.
“Sa totoo lang, kung gusto namin ng pera-pera lang… well, maraming nag-o-offer as in, milyun-milyon pa. Pero, hindi na,” Rams David revealed during an interview with PEP.
