Unusual Oarfish Found Alive, People Believe That They Are Harbingers of Natural Disasters
Two unusual oarfish that were believed to be harbingers of earthquakes and tsunamis have been found alive in Okinawa, Japan.
Japanese fishermen found two rare oarfish along the island’s southwest Toya port in the island of Okinawa, Japan.
One of the oarfish has a length of 12 feet while the other one is 13 feet long and were both caught alive in nets.
Unfortunate, one oarfish died after loaded into ship and the other one also passed away after arriving on land.
“The two oarfish were swimming vigorously in the nets. They looked mysterious and beautiful,” Satomi Higa of the Yomitan’s fisheries cooperative association said.
