Tropical Depression Samuel’s Aftermath In Eastern Samar Captured In Photos
Here are some of the photos showing the horrible situation in eastern Samar after devastated by Tropical Depression Samuel.
On Wednesday (November 21, 2018), Tropical Depression Samuel carrying strong winds and widespread rains lashes the provinces of Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, and Iloilo.
Samuel slightly weakened with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 70 kph moving 40 kph at a west-southwest direction.
The weather agency also raised signal no. 1 over some parts of the country and advised the public to take precautionary measures since Samuel brought flashflods and landslides in several areas.
The tropical depression makes a landfall in five areas including Borongan City, Eastern Samar; Daram, Samar; Caibiran, Biliran; Calubian, Leyte; and Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
According to the reports, the weather disturbance was last spotted along the vicinity of Leganes, Iloilo.
Samuel was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday night (November 22) or Friday early morning (November 23).
