Space explorations keep on going with time and it usually risk a large scale of expenses. But today the NASA had just sent three new crew members namely Dan Burbank together with Anatoly Ivanishi and Anton Shkaplerov who are both Russians.
A report from Yahoo says that Burbank is 50 years old, Shkaplerov is 39 years old while his fellow Russian Ivanishi was noted to be 42 years old. The Soyuz TMA-22 delivered the 3 new tenants. It was on Monday that these three newest members have been successfully sent to space from Kazakhstan. Following the successful wharf of the capsule the three new crews have moved to the main station after two hours.
According to the report, Dan Burbank, Anatoly Ivanishi and Anton Shkaplerov were greeted by their fellow mates namely Michael Fossum identified as an American, Sergey Volkov who was said to be a Russian as well as Satoshi Furukawa of Japan.
The number of astronauts there will be now doubled with the presence of the three new crew members. The other three mentioned astronauts Fossum, Volkov and Furukawa were already there since June but they will eventually be bidding goodbye for they are scheduled to go back to Earth after a week.
These three men were congratulated on air by their families and other officials. The three are expected to stay on space as Burbank is set to the lead the group. Burbank is believed to be the most experienced among them. He was one of the crews during the twelve day shuttle mission that was held last 2000 likewise in 2006.
Most people weren’t aware that this mission is already 2 months delayed because of the previous news about Progress cargo crash last August. Such news invited some uncertainties to their future launch and its direct effect was to cut off the original 6 crews into 3. Normally, there are 6 crews on board so they will be sending the same number, which is six, on the next launch scheduled for the following month.
There is no doubt that nowadays, man can explore the outside world in a faster pace. This event proves that the Russian team are able to launch and dock space shuttles with triumph.
