“Human Calculator” Yasha Ashley, Youngest Math Professor At Age 14 In Leicester

14-year-old Yasha Ashley is the youngest employee in a university hired to teach Math.

YASHA ASHLEY – Meet Yasha Ashley, the 14-year-old Math genius dubbed as the “Human Calculator” hired in a university to teach the subject to those older than him.

Yasha Ashley, 14, was employed by the University of Leicester to do tutorials and this is where he also got a degree student. From being the youngest student, he is as well the youngest employee to be hired by the institution.

Based on a report from the Daily Mail, he was just 13 years old when he was offered to have a paid job where the admin staff has to apply to Leicester city council for special permission to have him as he was so young then.

“I am having the best years of my life. I love going to university and I love my new job helping other students. No more school uniform for me thank you very much,” Yasha said.

Last 2017, he was at his final year and plans to start a Ph.D. when he finishes his course.

Moreover, from the report, he is also the first in the world to have achieved an A grade in maths A-Level scoring 100 percent and 99 percent in two of the six papers when he was just 8 years old.

“I love maths because it is an exact science. It is the only science where you can prove what you say is correct. It is so easy and an enjoyable subject to study.”

At aged 15, in a follow-up report, he gained a first-class degree in maths with 92 percent.

He aspires to become a research mathematician.
