Remains Of Dead Filipino Found Inside Septic Tank In Korea
The remains of a dead Filipino worker has been found inside a septic tank in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea after gone missing two years ago.
The international news agency ‘Yonhap News’ has reported that the authorities have confirmed that the remains of a dead person found inside a septic tank in South Korea is from a Filipino.
The authorities believed that the cadaver was Mikelangelo Claveria, a native of Cabatuan, Iloilo who had gone missing for two years since 2016.
The cadaver has been found inside a septic tank in South Korea near where the latter was working, according to Hwasung police.
The South Korean authorities would also like to coordinate with the victim’s family in the Philippines to confirm the identity of the Filipino worker.
The Korean police are now investigating the case wherein about three suspects were allegedly responsible for the crime.
As of now, the Philippine Embassy and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Korea were already investigating the incident.
The authorities also said that the victim might be on his 30’s when he died.
