Canceled Flights Due To Mayon Volcano’s Explosion

Here is the list of canceled flights due to the explosion of Mayon Volcano emitting ash columns and heavy ash fall in the province of Albay.

Mayon Volcano’s eruption is one of the most trending topics of several local news outlets and social media pages over the past few weeks raising the concerns of the affected resident.

Mt. Mayon’s explosion has also prompted local carriers to cancel several flights for the safety of their passengers.

On Wednesday (January 24, 2018), the Philippine Airlines (PAL) has canceled its flight to and from Legazpi City until Thursday (January 25, 2018).

PAL also said that they will release regular updates regarding the situation in Legazpi, Albay and assured the passenger that the airline is working with the authorities.

“PAL assures its passengers that it is in close coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology in securing information on the seismic activity and its effects on flight path,” PAL said quoted by Inquirer.
