Filipino Actor Piolo Pascual Donates P1 Million For War Victims In Marawi City
The Filipino actor Piolo Pascual has expressed his sympathy and donated an amount of P1 million for the war victims in Marawi City.
Piolo Pascual was planning to visit Marawi City to take a look at the properties wherein they can build houses for the war victims after donating an amount of P1 million last month for the rehabilitation of displaced families.
The generosity of the celebrity has garnered praises and admiration from the social media users who were touched by Pascual’s action towards the victims of the bloody siege in the beleaguered city of Marawi.
The 40-year-old actor turns over his donations to the action star Robin Padilla who founded the program “Bangon Marawi” to provide financial assistance for the war victims in the besieged city.
The actor also explained that the real situation of Maranao’s, which broke his heart and opened his eyes to awareness.
“We’re living here a good life, and then you realize na these people are homeless and they’re forced out, na nawalan ng mga trabaho. That broke my heart and it opened my eyes to an awareness. May mga taong hindi maayos ang buhay not by choice. And war is happening, so we have to do something to prevent it to happen in our area,” said by Pascual quoted by Pep.ph
