Derek Ramsay back as a Kapamilya.
DEREK RAMSAY – One of the most sought-after actors Derek Ramsay returns to ABS-CBN after issues between him and the network have been clarified.
Recalling, the actor Derek Ramsay has been banned on the Lopez-led media corporation ABS-CBN because of the issue he had with them way back 2012.
He felt bad and disappointed about the prohibition of his mere presence or even just the name in the said network.
For years, he cannot appear on any of the network’s shows.
There was even a movie of him together with John Estrada and ABS-CBN contract star Cristine Reyes to where the two actors can promote the movie but are not allowed to mention his name.
It all started on 2012 when he signed up a contract with TV5 amid negotiations on renewing his contract with the Kapamilya network.
His transfer to TV5 was for the growth of his career as an actor to where he got offers which are really close to his passion, to which as such are sports and travel and leisure.
However, after several years, the issue has finally been set aside as he renews the contract with the network and a movie project was even waiting ahead of him.
The movie is in the Star Cinema entitled “Kasal” together with other sought-after artists of this generation Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino.
As per the statement of the ABS-CBN Network upon his comeback after five years, the issues have been resolved and now, he is officially back as Kapamilya.
The full statement of the ABS-CBN indicated, “ABS-CBN welcomes back Derek Ramsay who will soon work with Bea Alonzo in the film ‘Kasal’ under Star Cinema. ABS-CBN’s top management and Derek have met recently and resolved the issues arising from his transfer to another network five years ago.”
