The Kapuso executive reacted on the joke of Vice Ganda over their slogan.
KAPUSO – The executives of the GMA-7 finally breaks silence over the viral joke of Vice Ganda on their network’s slogan.
According to the report of the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep), they had a chance to speak with GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth G. Rasonable and then asked her reaction to the joke that had gone viral.
“Ah, yeah, it was a joke so everybody is free to make their jokes. That’s his joke. Wala naman kasi kasi I don’t think we should react to it. Kasi nga, it was said out of fun, yun ang gusto niyang gawin, yun ang style nya, okay lang naman,” the Kapuso higher executive said.
Recalling, based on a previous report, the Kapamilya comedian said the during a portion of the segment Miss Q and A.
On one of the contestants, he comically asked this, “Kung sinasabing ang GMA ay ‘Where you belong,’ ba’t sila naglilipatan?Charot lang!”
The studio of It’s Showtime beamed with laughter from the audience and that is when he noticed Bela Padilla and Karylle, of whom at that time were both judges of the said segment of the noon time show.
He said, “Ay, sorry Bella, na-affect ka ba? Sorry, Karylle.”
The joke immediately trended on Twitter and had received mixed reactions from the people of the online community.
The SVP for Entertainment also reacted over the transfer of Aljur to their rival network.
“Siguro baka hindi na dapat nga kagulat-gulat because his contract ended in March already. We parted ways so he was free since March to do whatever he wants kasi freelancer na siya. Baka lang sa iba kasi hindi lang nila alam pero matagal na siyang wala sa GMA, March pa lang.”
She also stressed that the parting of ways with Aljur was peaceful.
