Angel Locsin never forgets to help people in need
Kapamilya comedienne-host Melai Cantiveros revealed that A-list star Angel Locsin sent relief to earthquake victims in General Santos City.
Last Monday, June 8, 2026, several areas in Mindanao suffered from a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. One of the most affected areas was GenSan, the home city of Melai.
Previously, President Bongbong Marcos said in his statement that earthquake victims, with their properties destroyed and having lost their loved ones, will receive P50,000 each family.
Several celebrities also offered help. Right after the earthquake, Melai Cantiveros expressed sympathy for her “kababayan” in Mindanao.
In a recent social media post, the comedienne-host shared that she was traveling to GenSan to check her family’s situation, and to also extend help, as much as they can.
Melai also mentioned that several celebrities had already sent help, such as actress Kim Chiu, and hosts Robi Domingo and Bianca Gonzalez. Her glam team also did their part in helping the earthquake victims.
Then, the comedienne-host revealed that she was surprised that her manager called her and informed her that Angel Locsin would also send help. With this, Melai couldn’t be more thankful.
