Andrea Brillantes entered her new era
Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes talked about her transition to more adult roles this year.
Andrea started her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. From being a child star, she became one of the most popular teen stars of her generation.
This year, Andrea showed a different side of herself, bolder and more mature than her previous sweet image. She ventured into music with a reintroduction through a controversial song.
She also has a new series in which she played a more mature role. During a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, she was asked about her 2026, which has been good for her so far.
The young actress said that she is taking one day at a time, and that she does not try to do things perfectly. She also said that she focuses on what matters in the moment, and she has learned to protect her energy more, choose her battles, and make time for herself, friends, and family in between her busy schedule.
She was also asked about her new series with Enrique Gil titled A Secret in Prague, which is among Netflix’s Top 10 shows, in recent days.
“Super grateful and honestly a bit surreal. We worked so hard on this project, so seeing people connect with it and talk about it means everything to me. It makes all the puyat and effort worth it,” Andrea said.
When it comes to her decision to transition to more adult roles, she said, “I’m really drawn to complex characters. Yung may depth, may flaws, may pinagdadaanan. I want roles that challenge me, not just safe or expected characters. Mas gusto ko na role na baliw kaysa sa stagnant, to be honest.”
Asked about her way to unwind and relax, Andrea Brillantes shared that she keeps it simple. She loves spending time with her people and just watching movies, traveling, or being alone doing nothing. “Minsan kasi that’s what you really need — quiet time to reset,” the actress shared.
