Basti Artadi Explodes Onstage & Reveals What Kind Of Politician He Truly Supports

BASTI ARTADI – A tense concert moment turned into a viral sensation after Basti Artadi confronted a disruptive fan and made a powerful statement.

Rock icon Basti Artadi has earned the support of many netizens after a heated moment during a recent concert in Davao City, where he stood his ground against a disruptive audience member while paying tribute to a late bandmate.

The incident, which has since gone viral online, took place during a performance by the legendary Filipino rock band Wolfgang. In the middle of the show, Basti was delivering an emotional tribute to their late bassist Mon Legaspi when a heckler suddenly interrupted by shouting a political remark aimed at Bongbong Marcos.

Attempting to de-escalate the situation, Basti responded, “Hey man, we don’t give a sht about that tonight. We’re just here to make you forget all about that sht. I’m telling you everybody is lying to us. So fu*k that!”

He then continued his tribute, saying, “Tonight, we’re gonna tell you the truth. And the truth is Mr. Mon Legaspi is no longer here with us.”

However, the heckler persisted, prompting the singer to issue a firm warning. “Hey, man! We’re gonna go home if you’re gonna keep this sh*t up. You wanna do your freedom of speech, go onto the fu**ing hallways and do it there. Right here, this is a rock and roll country, man,” he said.

“And I’m talking about Mon Legaspi so just keep quiet for a bit so I can share a little bit of this guy. He’s one of the fu**ing greatest, nicest, most kupal people you’ll ever meet in your whole life,” he added.

When the disruption continued, Basti ultimately ordered the removal of the heckler, declaring, “Get that fing guy out of here! Makulit ka! Umalis ka na! Pu**na! Who the fuking singer you’re gonna do this bust tonight! No one cares right now!”

Despite the tension, the band pushed through with the performance, with Basti dedicating their next song: “Mon Legaspi. This song’s called ‘Anino.’ Never fu*king forget him!”

The following day, Basti addressed the controversy in a video statement, clarifying his actions and emphasizing the purpose of their performance. “I wasn’t gonna do this because I didn’t think I needed to. I thought it was already water under the bridge.”

“But apparently, now it’s going viral, the s**t that happened in Davao. So, I gotta address it because it’s 2026 and the world is stupid.”

He stressed that the band’s goal was unity, not division. “Anyway, we were there to make people smile, to bring people together, and for everyone to have a good time. That was our only reason to go.”

Basti lamented how the tribute to Mon was overshadowed, saying, “And a couple of people chose that moment to try and separate us. And that was bastos. As simple as that. It was bastos.”

He also called out those politicizing the issue online, warning that it only deepens division and disrespects the memory of their late bandmate.

In closing, Basti shared his stance on politics, stating, “You wanna know who I’m for? I’m for a politician that will put the Filipino people and the country above themselves and getting rich and all of that. That’s who I’m for. Tell me who that person is and I’ll be there.”

His message resonated with many, as netizens rallied behind him for defending respect, unity, and the true spirit of music.
