Barbie Forteza mentioned her Kara Mia in a recently released podcast
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza was able to talk about her journey in the entertainment industry with prominent actresses Cherry Pie Picache and Jodi Sta Maria.
Barbie has come a long way since she started her career in the entertainment industry through the Kapuso series Stairway to Heaven, which aired in 2009. Through that, she was given a chance to do more acting stints that brought her to where she is now in showbiz.
Just recently, Barbie was able to sit down with Cherry Pie and Jodi to talk about their experiences in the entertainment industry.

The three actresses from different generations guested on the Kanto Roundtable on Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast Channel. One of the podcast hosts, director JP Habac, asked them what projects they did that they thought did not work in their favor but taught them important lessons.
Barbie shared that it was her 2019 fantasy series Kara Mia with Mika dela Cruz. She considers it one of the roles that didn’t necessarily work in her favor artistically.
While she expressed pride in the show’s four-month run and the lessons it taught her, she also admitted to having some regrets regarding the “campy” or “cringe” nature of the role. The Kapuso summarized the experience with the phrase: “It paid the bills.”

Barbie Forteza recalled the awkwardness of filming scenes where her character, Kara, would “argue” with her sister Mia (played by Mika Dela Cruz) on the back of her head.
She specifically mentioned an argument scene they had on a footbridge as her most memorable because she had to act like Mia was pulling her away from the other director while he was trying to go to the opposite side.
Meanwhile, just recently, in line with the celebration of Women’s Month, Barbie Forteza shared a strong message for her fellow women. “Men have no right to tell women to shut up,” she stressed.
