In a post, Kylie Padilla explained her statement.
Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla explained her reaction when asked about Sen. Robin Padilla’s statement about being ready to run for vice president.
“Aalis na ako ng Pilipinas!”

This is what Kylie Padilla initially quipped when she was asked about Senator Robin Padilla being open to running for vice president as the tandem of VP Sara Duterte in the 2028 national elections. He may not be interested in a higher position, but if former president Rodrigo Duterte tells him to, he will.
This is why his door remains open to the possibility despite his disinterest.
Kylie’s statement went viral, and immediately, when reports erupted, she posted her explanation on her Instagram account. According to her, she wanted to leave the Philippines for a peaceful life. Her comment was never meant to insult her father because she always trusts his judgment and all the good things he is doing for the country.
She asserted her personal right to choose the kind of life she wants to live.
Kylie wrote, “I only meant that aalis po ako ng pilipinas kasi gusto ko ng tahimik na buhay. It was not a comment to insult my father because I trust in his judgement and all the good he is doing for this country. But I think it is also my right to know what kind of life I want to live. And that is a quiet peaceful life. Yun lng po. xoxo.”

In a prior statement, Padilla shared that political attacks no longer affect him, as he has grown accustomed to public scrutiny. He believes he has heard it all before and does not easily take criticism to heart.
That said, he acknowledged that he is not particularly inclined to pursue the matter. He would only consider doing so for Digong, whom he regards as the only person he is willing to heed and follow.
