Kris Bernal wanted to act at the level of Beauty Gonzalez
StarStruck alumna Kris Bernal admitted that she felt pressured doing scenes with Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez.
Kris returned to acting through the Kapuso series House of Lies. Even though she took a break from acting, Kris was active on social media, and she also started vlogging.
In the series, Kris portrays the character of Althea, while Beauty gives life to the character of Marjorie. They are joined by Mike Tan as Paolo and Martin del Rosario, who is playing Edward.
During the recent press conference for the Kapuso show, based on the article in Bandera, Kris admitted that she was under a lot of pressure to be better in her scenes to match Beauty’s skills.
She wanted to prove to the audience that her acting skills are still there, even though she took a break for a while.
“Saka, comeback ko ito, na hopefully makita nga nila na puwede pa rin ako, na marunong pa rin akong umarte. Gusto ko pa ring mag-artista, magkaroon ng mga teleserye pa rin. So, ginawa ko talaga ang lahat para maipakita ang best ko,” Kris said.
Beauty said that she was a bit insecure about Kris, because as ide from her first time working with the StarStruck alumna, the lattes also didn’t need a script for their taping.
“I really admire her now when she goes to the set na wala siyang dalang script, like, sobrang memorized niya ‘yung lines niya and… uy, you do, ha, I mean, you should be proud of it,” Beauty said, adding that she wants to have that habit that she can let go of the script, but sometimes she would get insecure as a Bisaya, with her Tagalog and English lines.
“Naghalu-halo na ba, nag-mash-up na ba. Kaya kailangan kong bitbitin ‘yung script ko para lang sure ako sa linya ko,” Beauty said in jest.
Beauty also admired how Kris would wear her heels. “I wish I could wear heels like this, like, ‘yung mga Louboutin, I’d die for those shoes na kayang-kaya niya. I mean, like, ang ganda kasi, eh, like, iba ‘yung tindig mo, iba ‘yung tayo mo,” Kris said about her co-star.
The Cebuana actress also shared that she likes the shoe collection of the StarStruck alumna. Beauty Gonzalez also admired Kris Bernal’s determination to do vlogs. It was because the Cebuana actress said that she is more of a writer than a talker.
