Verbena PH – Here’s The Update From PAGASA, Some Areas Are Still In Signal No. 1

PAGASA released the latest update about Verbena PH and the areas that remained under Signal No. 1.

VERBENA PH UPDATE – PAGASA has released the latest information about the tropical depression and the areas that are still in Signal No. 1.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest update about the Tropical Depression Verbena. Based on its 5 PM update on November 25, it is now passing over the coastal waters of Cuyo Archipelago.

At 4 PM, the location of its center was spotted over the coastal waters of Cuyo, Palawan, moving westward at 25 km/h. It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and a central pressure of 996 hPa.

Wind Signal was already lifted in some areas, but some remained.

  • LUZON
    • Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, the southern portion of Romblon (Santa Fe, Ferrol, Looc, San Jose), and the northern and central portions of Palawan (Araceli, Taytay, El Nido, Dumaran, Roxas, San Vicente, Puerto Princesa City) including Calamian, Cuyo, and Cagayancillo Islands
  • VISAYAS
    • Antique and the northwestern portion of Aklan (Malay, Buruanga, Nabas)

Due to the Northeast Monsoon and the tropical depression, gusty conditions reaching strong to gale-force strength are expected in the following areas:

  • Luzon, Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Zamboanga del Norte TODAY
  • Luzon, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Dinagat Islands TOMORROW, November 26
  • Batanes, Cagayan, including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, MIMAROPA, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Western Visayas on THURSDAY, November 27

Verbena will continue to move, going to the Sulu Sea, and make landfall over the northern portion of Palawan tonight. It may reach tropical storm category within the next 6 to 12 hours, and will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday.
