School OIC in Bukidnon Injured After Being Hit by Teacher w/ Electric Fan Stand
A school OIC from Lantapan, Bukidnon was injured after being struck on the head with the stand of an electric fan by a teacher.
On Wednesday (November 12, 2025), the officer in charge at Balila Elementary School in Barangay Balila suffered injuries after being hit with an electric fan stand by a teacher.
According to initial reports, the teacher, known as John, became extremely upset when the biometric attendance system failed to read his fingerprint. The simple issue quickly escalated into anger, leading him to destroy some items inside the school office.

In the middle of his outburst, he hit the OIC, identified as Rasel, using the stand of an electric fan. The blow caused a head injury, leaving Rasel stunned and in pain. Other teachers immediately ran for safety as the situation became too dangerous to handle.
When police arrived to calm the scene, the teacher continued to show aggression and even directed his anger toward the responding officers. Authorities then moved in to restrain him for everyone’s safety.
The teacher is now detained, and investigators are working to understand what caused the situation to escalate so quickly. They are also looking into whether there were underlying issues leading up to his behavior that day.

The school community is still unsettled by what happened, as acts of violence inside a learning environment are rare and distressing. Meanwhile, the OIC is recovering from the injuries and is expected to receive support as the case moves forward.
Authorities assured that the investigation will be thorough, and appropriate actions will be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the school.
