Sen. Bong Go Reacts To Charges Filed by Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes
BONG GO – The Senator claimed that former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV allegedly knows the real culprits in the flood control issue.
Several senators and congressmen are linked to the flood control issue in the Philippines. The supposed multi-billion corruption through the flood control projects angered countless Filipinos and brought thousands of people to protest in the streets last September 21.
The Filipinos called for an end to corruption. Currently, countless people await the filing of charges against the people who are possibly involved in the flood control issue in the country.
Amid the ongoing investigation of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI on the supposed flood control corruption, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes filed charges against former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Bong Go. He sued them for alleged plunder and graft violations over the infrastructure projects awarded to CLTG Builders owned by Go’s father.
The former Senator also filed charges against the brother of Sen. Bong Go, Alfredo Armero Go, and their father, Deciderio Lim Go. He believes that the closeness of the Senator with former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte have alleged paved the way for the awarding of the said government contracts then.
“Alam naman natin na magkadugtong ang bituka ni Bong Go at Duterte kaya hindi niya pwedeng ipagkaila na hindi naimpluwensyahan ito… Ang nakalagay sa ating batas, up to 4th degree of consanguinity and affinity, pero ito first first degree ito tatay ito at kapatid,” Trillanes said.
Recently, Sen. Bong Go reacted to the filing of charges against him and former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte by former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV. Based on a report on GMA News, the Senator stressed that Trillanes can visit the Commission on Audit to check if there are any anomalies with regards to the projects and sue the people involved.
Sen. Bong Go also reiterated his previous claim that he is willing to file a case even against his own family members. Based on the report, the Senator is telling former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV not to deviate the issue.
“Ang issue dito, ang flood control. Ang issue po dito, anomalous projects. Ang issue po dito, ghost projects. Panagutin ninyo po ang dapat panagutin. Kilala ni Trillanes ‘yan. Kilala niya kung sino ang mga kontraktors na ‘yan. Kilala niya kung sino ang mga dapat managot dito sa isyung ito,” Go said.
Previously, Ombudsman Boying Remulla claimed that the Discayas are allegedly may be protecting Sen. Bong Go.
