Meryll Soriano On Being A Nepo Baby: “Hindi ako yung kalabit-penge”

Actress Meryll Soriano admitted that she is indeed a nepo baby, but he is not the kind who just asks for the things she wants.

Meryll started young in the entertainment industry. She is the daughter of veteran TV host Willie Revillame, who is one of the richest Pinoy celebrities.

Her aunt is nothing but the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. Meryll was able to establish her own name in Pinoy showbiz.

Merylle Soriano ventured into directing through a short and a full-length movie next year, based on the article in PEP.

In the interview, the actress shared that they were still looking for a producer. Then, she was told that why not tell her father about this.

“Oo nga. Itanong mo nga,” Meryll Soriano said. She also said that they are in a different field. “So, my father is not very into the arts. Mas iba yung business model niya on ano,” she said.

However, Meryll is hopeful that her father could be tapped for this, and maybe it was worth a try. Then, she was asked about being so careful when it comes to speaking about asking money from his father.

“Very careful pa rin ako. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” she said. When asked about being a nepo baby. Meryll Soriano said, “Oo! Pero nepo baby na at least, sa art side. Ha! Ha! Ha! Hindi sa… sabi ko nga, buti na lang.”

The actress said that she has no luxury items to flex. She also said that often, she is just at home, breastfeeding her baby. Meryll Soriano also said that she does not depend on her father’s wealth.

The actress said that her father is not like that. “So, napatunayan na namin na hindi basta-basta na ganun lang siya magbigay ng help or ng money or ng whatever,” she said. She also said that her father does not spoil her, and it can be seen in how they are.

Then, she mentioned that at a young age, she entered the entertainment industry, and with this, she was about to send her siblings to school.

“So, parang hindi ako yung kalabit-penge. Kalabit-penge ang tawag dun, e! ‘Papa, penge!’ Hindi ako ganoon. Hindi ko rin siya values,” Meryll said.
