Being an actor and a politician, Revilla is not a newbie when it comes to issues and controversies. He has faced different rumors and intrigues in showbiz,
More intense controversies came along his way when he became a politician. To recall, he was imprisoned for plunder, but he and his friend and fellow politician Jinggoy Estrada were acquitted.

Following the PDAF(Priority Development Assistance Fund) scam or the pork barrel issue, Bong Revilla is now being accused of being involved in the flood control project anomaly.
Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan district engineer Henry Alcantara named Revilla as one of the politicians who received kickbacks. Prior to this, former DPWH Bulacan engineer Brice Hernandez mentioned that Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva were also involved.
After Revilla’s name was dragged into the anomaly, photos of him taken during his visit to Bulacan in 2023 for the flood control project resurfaced online.
In the photos, Revilla was joined by Alcantara when that site visit happened. Amid this controversy, the actor-politician received bashing online.
Following the allegation against him, based on the report from News5, Bong Revilla denied the accusation. “I deny. Wala po akong kinalaman diyan. I have nothing to do with any of that,” he said.

Meanwhile, aside from these Senators, other politicians who were dragged into the issue were Quezon City First District Representative Arjo Atayde and Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co.
Previously, Atayde also denied the allegations against him. He stressed that he did not have any transactions with contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya, but their photos together resurfaced online. He even had a donation project with the logo of Discaya’s company.
As of this writing, Zaldy Co has been out of the country. Reportedly, he is no longer in the US.
