Michael V talked about being a comedian
Kapuso comedian Michael V said that nowadays, it is difficult to be a comedian in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Bitoy has been in showbiz for many years already. He is the genius behind the long-running sitcom Pepito Manaloto and the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang.
Just recently, he renewed his contract with GMA Network. He is also celebrating his 30 years as a Kapuso and the 30th year of Bubble Gang.

In an interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Michael V shared that ever since he was a child, he already dreamed of being on television, and most of the time, he watched shows on GMA.
It was a dream come true for him when he finally had the chance to join the Kapuso network. He said that his three decades in his home network have been a fruitful journey.
He also shared that he has been aspiring to create a Dolphy movie, which would be his tribute to the King of Comedy, and several times, he has discussed this with the children of the late comedian.
Bitoy shared that he is also in talks for a movie with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda. However, he has not yet found the right material for them.
He is also planning to do a Pepito Manaloto movie and a Mr. Assimo movie. Bitoy said that he is torn between these two projects because he wants to do both. However, Mr. Assimo already has a script.

Michael V is also aware of the challenges that comedy is facing. In the past, he could do parodies so easily, but right now, he has to deal with license fees that cost a lot. With the presence of social media, jokes can be amplified that could have a negative connotation, and this would be followed by bashing.
Bitoy is frank about the evolving challenges of comedy.
With this, he said that it is more difficult to be a comedian now. “Talagang mahirap na maging komedyante ngayon. Pinapatatahimik yung mga may utak para hindi ma-offend yung mga walang utak,” the Kapuso comedian said.
