Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Says Floodwater To Be Delivered in MalacaƱang for Pres. Bongbong Marcos
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President slammed the Marcos administration over its response to the flooding in the Philippines.
The Philippines is currently experiencing the wrath of the Southwest Monsoon or the Habagat and many areas across the nation are experiencing flooding. First Lady Liza Marcos even distributed the “Charitimba” to help the Filipinos in Manila who are affected by the bad weather condition in the country for several days now.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos recently flew to the United States for a scheduled meeting with U.S. Pres. Donald Trump but he continuously monitored the situation in the Philippines. The Chief Executive ordered all the government agencies to focus in helping the Filipinos who are affected by the flooding.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also ordered the immediate suspension of all the preparations related to his upcoming 4th SONA or State of the Nation Address. The Chief Executive wants the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the other concerned agencies to direct their efforts to helping the people to the relief operations.

Marcos Jr. also expressed that the country can save the floodwater in preparation for the dry season. However, such statement of the President did not sit well with Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

Based on a report of GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte slammed the efforts of the government in responding to the flooding across the nation due to the continuous heavy rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon. The Vice President claimed that the floodwater should allegedly be collected and delivered to MalacaƱang so Pres. Bongbong Marcos can drink it.
“Ipunin po natin lahat tapos edeliver natin sa MalacaƱang para po may mainum siya,” Duterte said.
It is no secret to the public that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Pres. Bongbong Marcos have an ongoing rift. Based on the report, the Vice President also expressed her opposition to the planned construction of a facility in Zambales as part of the defense cooperation between the country and the United States.
“Ang nakalagay sa ating Saligang Batas noh, na mayroon tayong dapat independent foreign policy kung iyong ginagawa ng gobyerno ay kumikiling sa iisang bansa lang, ibig sabihin nun wala na tayong true independent policy,” she expressed.
On the part of the government, Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously said that such facility will help the country become self-reliant in terms of defense. Amid the country reeling from flood, Marcos Jr. assured the Filipinos that the government is here to help and provide the services needed.
