Netizens recalled this old video of Julia Barretto
Actress Julia Barretto had a video in which she tried the famous Pinoy street food “isaw” and this was recalled by netizens because of the recent viral video of BINI in which they tried Filipino snacks.
To recall, in 2021, Julia and her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson had a vlog in which he made her try street foods. In the video, the actress said that she had never tried it before and that it was her first time. She even said that she would try eating that just for Gerald.
However, after that vlog was released, many netizens showed old videos of Julia eating isaw. She already tried “isaw,” as well as “betamax” on Gandang Gabi Vice. Because of that, the actress received negative reactions.
Just recently, BINI tried Filipino snacks for the YouTube channel People Vs Food. Many netizens did not like how they reacted to Filipino snacks such as “isaw” and “betamax.”
Just like the time when Julia Barretto’s video went viral, netizens also showed older videos of BINI eating street food. The Nation’s Girl Group received bashing, but their fans rallied behind them. Even actress-content creator Sharlene San Pedro defended BINI.
A netizen on Reddit shared Julia’s old vlog, in line with BINI’s recent viral video. “Nung nag viral ang bini, di ko maiwasan maalala si julia b HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,” @Fabulous_Bus6073 wrote in the caption of the post.

In the comment section, netizens expressed various reactions. A netizen asked why some would have that kind of pretension. “I’m genuinely curious as to why some people pretend to have not eaten yung mga gantong klaseng streetfood. Like nakakabawas ba ng alta factor nila yun?” a netizen commented.
Some netizens pointed out that these celebrities forgot that there are digital footprints now. A netizen commented that it seemed like BINI’s inspiration was Julia Barretto.
