On Monday (July 14, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration releases the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.

“We can see in our satellite images the continued presence of the southwest monsoon, or habagat, over the entire country. It will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the western part of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,” Villamil said.

Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and Palawan.

The southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, we expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to thunderstorms,” he added.

No cloud clusters were spotted over the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

PAGASA did not raise a gale warning that was raised over some parts of the country.
