Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Weight Loss of Dad Rodrigo
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President revealed the cause behind the slim physique of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte now.
For more than 100 days now, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte remains detained under the ICC or the International Criminal Court. There is still no update as to the request of the former President’s camp for his interim release.
The camp of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte previously sought for his ICC interim release release to an undisclosed country. According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, not all the needs of her 80-year-old father can be met inside the ICC detention facility.
The Vice President further stressed that with her father’s age now, he can be called a “super senior” citizen. She previously claimed that Australia can be the country for the former President’s interim release but her recent visit in the country was not about it.
Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte, the eldest son of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, previously admitted that, as a son, the pain is immeasurable with regards to the situation of his father now. He stressed that the former President offered his life to serving the nation but he is now suffering alone and away from home.
Former Pres. Duterte is faced with an accusation of crimes against humanity over the war on drugs of his administration. However, the former Chief Executive maintained that everything he did during his term as president was for the country and the Filipino people.
Recently, the ex-wife of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Elizabeth Zimmerman, visited him inside the ICC detention facility. According to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s ex-wife, he is now “skin and bones”. The former President claimed that he is being served the same foods.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte confirmed that huge weight loss of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Vice President even said that the public may have yet to see the former President in his physique right now.
“Payat siya. Sobrang payat siya na hindi niyo pa siya nakita na ganito kapayat,” the Vice President said.
Meanwhile, according to the Vice President, for her, the former President looks good in his slim physique now. She prefers it over the previous built of her father with a huge stomach.
“‘Yung malaki ang tiyan, tapos parang unhealthy tingnan, parang nakakatakot para sa kanyang heart. I like him this way, medyo slim,” the younger Duterte said.
According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, loss of appetite is the reason behind the weight loss of the former President. Based on the report, she expressed that she understands the concern of the supporters.
Previously, amid the reports and speculations of the selling of his residence, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte said former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is against the selling of his house in Davao despite his ICC detention.
