Former Engineering Student Earns Online Admiration After Sharing His Inspiring Journey
A former engineering student has become an inspiration to many after switching to culinary arts that led him to success and happiness.
Recently, Allensanity, a Facebook content creator, shared his journey of leaving college and finding his passion in the kitchen. The post circulated on social media and earns online admiration.
Around ten years ago, Allen was studying Mechanical Engineering but found himself struggling. Subjects like algebra, calculus, and trigonometry felt overwhelming, and he couldn’t keep up with his classmates.

Despite trying his best, he constantly failed and felt out of place. While others looked sure of becoming engineers, he saw no clear future for himself.
During his second year in college, he made the tough decision to drop out. It was heartbreaking not just for him, but also for his parents. He felt like a failure and spent the next few years feeling lost.
The young man had no job, no money, and often turned to drinking to escape his problems. Watching his former classmates move forward in life made him feel even more stuck.

But one day, he decided to take back control. He realized it wasn’t too late to start again. He enrolled in culinary school, following his interest in cooking. That decision changed his life.
Today, he’s now living in Australia and has been working as a chef at a hotel restaurant for five years. He’s proud of how far he’s come, and he credits his success to the people who stood by him and believed in him when he couldn’t believe in himself.

“10 YEARS AGO I DROPPED OUT OF COLLEGE
i was studying mechanical engineering year 2014-2015. wa koy idea unsa akong gisudlan. bogo kaayo ko ug math. halos tanan nga subject puro algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, etc unsa pana dira. akong mga classmates, wooo grabeh. gipang kaon raman ang mga pythagorean theorem, mga algebraic equations, mga sine cosine tangent. ambot uy, wa jud koy idea, kay wa jud koy nasabtan.
no matter how hard i tried. wa jud. hagbong jud padulngan ani. i felt so lost every time mag discuss, i felt so out of place sa akong palibot. nakita na sa akong mga classmates nga ma engineer sila. while ako, nakita ra nako nga naglisod ko. wala koy future nga nakita para sa akong self.
so i decided to drop out of college.
so i decided to fight again. i decided nga i need to do something with my life, kay maybe its not too late.
so i went to study culinary, kanang luto-luto kunuhay ba. and fast forward to today, 10 years later sa akong pag undang ug college. naa nako karon diri sa australia. i’ve been living here for 5 years na. im a chef na sa isa ka hotel restaurant.
im thankful sa mga tawo nga wala ni give up nako. sa mga tawo nga wala ko gipasagdan. sa mga tawo nga ni support nako sa akong pag sugod ug balik sa uno. im doing this not only for me, but to everyone that wants to see me succeed.”
