Gas Stations Announce Another Oil Price Hike Before End of April
FUEL PRICE UDPATE – Another oil price hike is expected to go up once more by the end of April.
The Department of Energy announced that new fuel price adjustments may take effect starting Tuesday (April 29, 2025) and will be implemented the following day. The new round of increases comes following the global developments affecting oil supply and demand.
The United States implemented new sanctions on a large Iranian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) network involved in exporting oil and gas, including activities that allegedly bypass previous sanctions.

Another factor contributing to the expected hike is the recent drop in oil inventories in the United States. Lower stock levels usually signal higher demand, which also puts upward pressure on prices.
Based on early estimates, gasoline prices may increase by around P0.80 to P1.40 per liter, diesel by P0.40 to 1.00, and kerosene by P0.50 to P0.70. The final figures will depend on global oil market movements and the cost inputs submitted by local fuel companies.
This follows a previous price hike just last week on April 22, where fuel firms raised gasoline prices by P1.35 per liter, diesel by P1.30, and kerosene by P1.10.
So far this year, gasoline has gone up by a total of P2.30 per liter, diesel by P2.85, while kerosene has seen an overall drop of P1.80 per liter.
As fuel prices continue to fluctuate, consumers are reminded to stay updated and plan their fuel needs ahead to manage the impact of these changes on their daily expenses.
