Mixed Oil Price Adjustments to Take Effect on Tuesday (March 18, 2025)

DOE Expect Mixed Oil Price Adjustments This Week

Several gasoline stations are set to implement mixed oil price adjustments starting Tuesday (March 18, 2025).

Filipino motorists can expect another round of fuel price changes this week, with diesel and kerosene prices set to decrease while gasoline remains unchanged. This marks the third consecutive week of adjustments at the pump.

Major fuel companies, including Shell, Seaoil, Caltex, and Cleanfuel, will roll back diesel prices by P0.20 per liter and kerosene by P0.40 per liter. However, gasoline prices will stay the same.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. for most fuel stations, while Cleanfuel will implement the changes slightly later at 8:01 a.m.

These price movements come after a series of reductions over the past two weeks. Earlier in March, fuel prices dropped by as much as P1.80 per liter, bringing some relief to motorists.

Despite the recent cuts, gasoline prices have still increased by P2.15 per liter since the start of the year, while diesel has risen by P2.85 per liter. Kerosene, on the other hand, has recorded a net decrease of P0.70 per liter in 2025 due to consecutive rollbacks.

Mixed Oil Price Adjustments

According to the Department of Energy, the latest adjustments are influenced by global economic factors. A slowdown in fuel demand, particularly in the US and other major markets, has contributed to the price drops.

The increasing supply of crude oil has also played a role in stabilizing costs.

In Metro Manila, fuel prices before the new adjustments ranged from P53.70 to P71.95 per liter, depending on the type. With the latest rollback, motorists using diesel and kerosene will see slight savings, while those relying on gasoline will not experience any changes this week.

Fuel prices have been on a downward trend since late February, and consumers will be watching closely for further adjustments in the coming weeks.
