Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Conversation with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy told her she should be the next president.
The 2025 Midterm Election is fast approaching and campaign rallies are being held in different areas. Prior to the election, several incumbent government officials have advised for the voters.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte advised the voters not to vote based on the surname but to listen to the platforms and achievements of the candidates in making a vote. According to her, they should check into the promises of the candidates in the past and see if those were realized.
For his part, Pres. Bongbong Marcos has a different advice for the voters. The Chief Executive advised voters to avoid candidates who are “all take” and the vote the ones who are “all action”.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte joined the thanksgiving event of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in Hong Kong. It was supposedly a leg of the PDP-Laban’s campaign sorties but the Hong Kong authorities advised them not to campaign in a public assembly.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, speaking to the overseas Filipino workers in Hong Kong, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte revealed her alleged conversation with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. The detained founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is one of the senatorial bets of the PDP-Laban.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, there are people who blame her for what is happening to the country. She stressed that she is blamed for not running for president as she stepped aside and became a running-mate of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy told her that she should be the next president and should not come first. The Vice President was told that her presidency should come next to end the sufferings of the Filipinos.
“Sabi niya, ‘Inday Sara, ganiyan din nangyari sa buhay mo, dahil hindi pwede na ikaw ang mauna at sila ang sumunod. Dahil, wala nang katapusan. Dapat, sila ang mauna, at ikaw ang sumunod, para matigil na at hindi na paulit-ulit ang kahirapan sa ating bayan’,” Vice Pres. Duterte said referring to the statement of Pastor Quiboloy.
Based on the report, the statement of Pastor Quiboloy helps ease the pain she feels whenever she is being blamed. She stressed that the Pastor told her that she is where God intended her to be.
The Vice President ended her statement thanking the OFWs for their support to her. She also jested about the 2028 presidency.
“Pagpapasalamat ko sa tulong ninyo, sa kampanya ninyo, sa suporta ninyo para sa akin at sa boto ninyo noong nakaraang halalan noong 2022. At sa susunod na halalan sa 2028 — joke lang. Joke,” Duterte said.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is faced with an impeachment issue now and her trial might start on July 30 as per the proposed timeline issued by Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero. However, the Senate leader clarified that it still needs the nod of the lawmakers. Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte said Vice Pres. Duterte is “unbothered” and they are ready to fight on the impeachment of Vice Pres. Duterte.
