It’s Showtime contestant Heart Aquino asks people to stop bashing her after visiting the office of the COMELEC.
“Sexy Babe” contestant Heart Aquino is open to becoming a COMELEC ambassador after visiting its office on March 4, 2025. To recall, she went viral following the interview about COMELEC with Vice Ganda. The 20-year-old contestant confessed to not knowing much about the poll body, which surprised a lot of people.
COMELEC invited the contestant to their office for a guided tour and enlightenment.
”Mas naunawaan ko po yung meaning din po talaga ng Comelec and kung ano po yung ginagawa nila,” Aquino told the media after visiting the office welcomed by officials.
She now has a better understanding of COMELEC and encourages others to educate themselves about its role. Speaking to the media, she also addressed the bashing and appealed to people to put a stop to it.
Aquino defended herself and explained that she had a mental block at the moment as it was her first time on TV. She asked her critics to understand her situation first before spitting out negative remarks.
“Kaya sa mga bumabatikos po, sana intindihin din po muna nila and alamin po nila yung reason po kung bakit hindi ko po siya nasagot,” she expressed. She admitted that she is not well-verses of the functions of the poll body but she has ideas.
She also added that she is an orphan. Her mind is focused on providing for her sibling and grandmother. She said, “Ayun lang po yung pinakaiisip ko, kung paano ko po mabubuhay yung lola ko at kapatid ko po.”
Aquino also reminded the people of the effects of bashing others and how this negativity can impact one’s mental health.
