The United States is supposed to sell M4 assault rifles but it is said to cease because of the glitch in the US-Phl relations.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa frankly said that the reported cease and back out on the part of the United States in supplying M4 assault rifles to the PNP is not yet confirmed.
In an interview of Bombo Radyo Philippines with General Dela Rosa during his visit in Cebu on Wednesday, November 2, he said that there is no official communication or order in the cease of supplying by the US of arms to the PNP.
There is also no so sign on the part of the American supplier to cease or stop their on going transaction.
According to the Chief PNP, the supplier even said in its statement that their application for an export permit is going smoothly.
But despite of this, General Dela Rosa said that the entire PNP organization will not be saddened if it happens that the United States will cease in selling rifles to the Philippines because there are still many other countries where the country can source arms from.
