PAGASA Says Amihan and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that amihan and easterlies will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (February 28, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The northeast monsoon and the easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon while the effects of the easterlies will be felt in the rest of the country.

Similar weather is also expected over Mindanao along with Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte due to the easterlies.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon.

The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
However, generally fair weather in most parts of our country in the coming weekend. “Let’s expect this coming weekend, generally fair weather in most parts of our country,” Badrina said.
Warm weather is expected over parts of Northern Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times, heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
