Pres. Bongbong Marcos Saddened by Critical Status of Pope Francis
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President spoke on the current health condition of Pope Francis who remains in a critical state now.
The Roman Catholics are currently in a prayer brigade as Pope Francis fights for his life in Gemelli hospital in Rome, Italy. The Roman Pontiff had bronchitis and is admitted in the hospital since February 14, 2025.

Pope Francis developed pneumonia from bronchitis. Previously, the Supreme Pontiff expressed his belief that he might not live longer. Vatican started the wake and funeral preparations amid the condition of the Pope.
Pope Francis also told two (2) people close to him that he might “not make it this time”. He remains confined in a special papal suite in the 10th floor of the Gemelli hospital. One of those who expressed his sadness upon hearing about the Pope’s condition is Philippine Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Based on a report on GMA News, Pres. Bongbong Marcos expressed the Philippines’ solidarity with the rest of the world in praying for strength and the recovery of the Supreme Pontiff. The Pope had a respiratory attack last Saturday which left him in a critical condition.
”Nakakalungkot na marinig ang malubhang karamdaman ni Pope Francis. Sa mga sandaling ito, kaisa tayo ng buong mundo sa panalangin para sa kanyang kalakasan at paggaling,” Marcos Jr. said.
Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also expressed his prayer that God will continue to guide and strengthen Pope Francis so he can continue with his mission of faith and love for the people.

Pope Francis remains in a critical condition as per the latest update from Vatican. Previously, on the 7th day that he was confined in the hospital, the clinical condition of the Pope had slight improvements.
However, the doctors of the Pope admitted that he is not out of danger. It was followed by a respiratory attack that left him in a critical state.
