Director Darryl Yap’s Camp Speaks on Teaser of Upcoming Pepsi Paloma Movie
Filmmaker Darryl Yap’s camp claimed that they have yet to receive a stop order on the teaser of the Pepsi Paloma movie.
The upcoming movie featuring a side on the controversial story of the late Pepsi Paloma hooked the attention of the netizens. The teaser of the film made a strong accusation against Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto.
Vic is being implicated in a crime based on the teaser of the Pepsi Paloma movie. It triggered the controversy that is not anymore very much talked about now. Joey de Leon and the late Richie D’Horsie were also accused in the issue.
Amid countless people wondering about the side of the Eat Bulaga host after he was really named in the teaser of the Pepsi Paloma movie, Vic Sotto filed a case against Darryl Yap, the director of the controversial film.
Vic Sotto said that it is nothing personal but he is against the spread of false information. The Eat Bulaga host was accompanied by his wife, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, when he came at the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) on January 9 to file a case against Darryl Yap.
For his part, Darryl claimed that he only based his materials on the documentations that were published and publicized in the 1980s. He stressed that he did not fall short in the making of the movie and the people just have to watch it first.
Recently, Darryl Yap’s camp claimed that the writ has been issued there was “no stop order” on the Pepsi Paloma movie teaser. The filmmaker’s legal counsel, Atty. Raymond Fortun, said that the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 205 only ordered his client to submit a verified return to the writ within five (5) days since it was received.
Based on the report, Darryl Yap’s camp also sought for a gag order from the court to prevent Vic Sotto and his camp “from disclosing the contents of the verified return to the public and enjoining them to dutifully keep in strict confidence the proceedings and matters learned before this Honorable Court”.
Darryl Yap is planning to hold a press conference on the case filed by Vic Sotto.
