Aga Muhlach had this low moment in his showbiz career
Award-winning actor Aga Muhlach recalled the time when no projects were offered to him and this was the project that boosted his career once again.
Aga came from a popular showbiz clan in the Philippine entertainment industry. Just like other Muhlachs, Aga also started acting at a young age but his big break came when he did the movie Bagets in 1984.
It was a big project and his popularity skyrocketed. in a recent interview on Aster Amoyo’s YouTube channel, Aga admitted that fame got into his head at that time.
His father decided to pull him out of the Bagets 2 movie and this did not sit well with him. Aga Muhlach’s father wanted him to be labeled as a serious actor already for his longevity in showbiz. He was given drama movies that earned him acting awards but he was not happy at that time.
However, as a teenager, Aga wanted to be with his Bagets friends, doing movies with fun bonding moments with them. At that time, the seasoned actor admitted that he became rebellious until no more projects were offered to him.
“Then, I was gone,” he said, adding from being on top, he fell. This lasted for four years. “Walang kumukuha sa akin. I was gone,” the actor shared. Eventually, he was able to rekindle his faith and this changed his perspective.
He was given a chance for his showbiz comeback through the movie Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal with Lea Salonga. This established their onscreen partnership which is loved by many fans until now. For him, this movie was a blessing and a miracle for him and his career in showbiz.
Aga Muhlach said that he fixed himself for this project. He was humbled by that. This was the reason why this movie has a big part in his life. The movie was a success and he earned award for his performance in this.
Aga’s recent movie Uninvited is an official entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024. In this movie he played a dark character.
