Multi-awarded actors Piolo Pascual and Vic Sotto worked together for “The Kingdom” and the former actor has this to say about “Bossing”.
Vic Sotto has been absent for five years on the big screen and this year, he is breaking this absence through “The Kingdom”, one of the 10 main entries to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival.
This movie is about the alternate reality when the Philippines was not colonized by foreign people. In the alternate world, the country is called the Kingdom of Kalayaan led by Lakan Makisig, the role of Sotto. He is the ruling and Sulo, the role of Piolo Pascual in the film, has a grudge against the royals, particularly the ruling leader.
This film shows the different side of Sotto when it comes to acting. We all have known and loved him for his comedy films but this year, he transitioned into a fully dramatic role. Speaking about the opportunity, Pascual gushed about it.
In a post, he is thankful for the chance to work alongside a living legend and described the whole experience as humbling and memorable. It was a dream come true for him and looking forward to the chance to work with him doing comedy.
